How Many Agencies Does It Take to Make a Better LA Street?

Urban planning master’s student Huma Husain got a mention on the blog Curbed for her capstone project involving complete streets in Los Angeles. Husain found that about 11 different local and state agencies have jurisdiction over the design of even just a small cross section of street. Curbed also posted a graphic she made that shows all the different agencies involved—and illustrates just how difficult it can be to redesign streets for all users in L.A.
